Eyes On The Prize - Virtual Choir

Eyes on the Prize has lots of special meaning to us at Soul Song; it was one of the first songs that our OG Cairns choir learnt back in 2010 and also that our, then fledgling, Brisbane choir learnt in 2019.

It’s a gospel, folk song that became a rallying cry for the Civil Rights Movement, with lyrics emphasising the importance of staying focused and persevering despite adversity; a message that is still relevant today.

This video comprises recordings from some of our individual Soulsters rather than our full choirs because it’s an a cappella song i.e., without a backing track. You can see how much it means to us from the expressions and body language on display. Just wait ’til we perform this one live!
